This is your bit of The Famous Bein Inn website as much as ours. This is for your memories and recollections of some of the great gigs you’ve enjoyed at the Inn.
Send us your reviews and comments on gigs and events and we’ll try to post them up here.
You can send us a simple line or two to say how much you enjoyed a gig or a complete thesis on the post-humanist references, or whatever, hidden in the works of your favourite artist. All contributions are welcomed. We’ll even credit you on the site, unless you want to remain anonymous for some reason.
Reviews are ordered alphabetically by the artist’s name. So obviously, you’ll find reviews of, say, Albert Lee, after those of Laura Cantrell and so on. Simply scroll down to find your favourite artist. If they aren’t reviewed, here’s your chance to add your name to our website.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Benny Gallagher
"Listening to Benny play his songs and tell his stories brought it home to me just how much of his work I know and how many of his songs were among the first I learned to play on guitar back in the seventies."

John Stewart
"At last, the big man at The Famous Bein Inn! I’ve seen John play all kinds of venues, including the legendary Turf Bar in Dalry (you’ll hear me clapping on one of the live albums he’s recorded there). However, this was really special even if his head was almost touching the ceiling in the Concert Room.
A great night with songs from the past 40 years and a few surprises. The segue from “Pirates of Stone County Road” into a snatch of Jim Webb’s, “The Yard Goes On Forever” was awesome. I never knew John was a Jim Webb fan, but the connections are obvious I suppose.
Now, Jim Webb – there’s someone else for you to entice to Glenfarg, David."
